The North Texas Giving Day team works hard year round to build the best and most useful training and incentives for the our nonprofit partners. We wouldn’t be able to accomplish either of these things without one our newest members to the team, our very own nonprofit and sponsorship champion Kaitlin!
What is your role with North Texas Giving Day? Director of Sponsorships and Nonprofit Relations
How long have you been at CFT/with #NTxGivingDay?A whopping 9 weeks! I started on April 19th!
What makes you excited about #NTxGivingDay? The sense of community the Day inspires, bringing together non-profit organizations from diverse communities and cause areas across North Texas!
Your quintessential #NTxGivingDay moment (For those who did giving day in the past) For the past 5 years I have participated in North Texas Giving Day from a community-based nonprofit perspective. Each year we would try different approaches to the day testing our creative abilities. My favorite part, though is making personal calls to our donors on Giving Day, particularly the new donors and learning what drew them to our organization and their stories for why they gave. Many times, these new donors would become volunteers and ongoing investors in our work, and that was incredibly powerful!
What is one area of your job that you’re passionate about? Giving Day would not exist without our committed donors and nonprofit partners in North Texas. The stats are exciting, but I am most passionate about getting to know our donors and nonprofit partners, what draws them to participate in Giving Day, the missions they are working on day-in and day-out, and how donors propel those missions forward in meaningful ways.
What do you do when not at work? Jump on our trampoline with our 9-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son, take our black lab Royal to White Rock Lake, and chat with my husband in French (as much as I can) as he is trying to become a fluent French speaker.
What is your favorite #NTxGivingDay war room snack? I have not had a chance to participate in the War Room yet, but I will be requesting peanut M&M’s!
